HOW TO PREVENT TOOTHACHE

By: Smileway Dental

Healthy, clean, strong and healthy teeth are definitely what most people want. Healthy, clean and strong teeth can certainly make you feel more confident when you smile and talk to others. Getting a ‘perfect’ tooth is not really difficult. Let’s take care of your teeth by taking the following steps, if you do not want toothache:

1. Brush teeth
Brush and brush your teeth 2 to 3 times a day. Brushing your teeth daily in addition to working to refresh your breath, can also keep your teeth healthy. Using a toothbrush you can also do this to clean out the inaccessible dirt with a toothbrush. If you brush your teeth, it can cause a variety of health problems including tooth decay, gingivitis, and plaque or even tooth extraction.

2. Don’t smoke
Smoking can cause serious health problems including heart disease and lung cancer. Not only that, did you know that smoking can also cause damage to your teeth? If you smoke, try stopping now. Smoking can cause the colour of the teeth to yellow. Over time the teeth will also break easily.

3. Visit the Dentist
Sometimes brushing your teeth is not enough. Over time, toothpaste will form in your teeth and will need to be cleaned. Check your dentist at least once every six months to clean and treat your teeth.

4. Enough calcium
Calcium is not only good for bones, but it is also good for strong teeth. Your teeth are embedded in the jawbone. If the bone density is fragile, your teeth will not have a strong footing. So, to get lots of calcium diligently eat foods and drinks that contain calcium such as broccoli, sardines, salmon, yoghurt, milk, and cheese.

5. Vitamin C
Vitamin C is very important for keeping your gums healthy and disease-free. Vitamin C will also strengthen the connective tissue blood vessels that hold the teeth in the jaw. In addition, the benefits of vitamin C can help reduce inflammation of the gums. You can take vitamin C supplements to improve your oral health or eat vitamin C-rich foods such as fruits, nuts, and vegetables.

6. Drink White Water
Water helps clean the food particles left in the teeth. If you can’t brush your teeth, you should at least wash with water after eating. Drinking green tea without sugar is also good for your teeth as it is thought to help prevent tooth decay. Green tea is also able to kill bacteria in the teeth. And green tea is less likely to cause tooth stain than regular tea.

These are some of the steps you can take to have a stronger and healthier tooth. After all, we all want to make sure we are problem free and we can enjoy our life and food for many years.
